In November 1981 the U.S. and U.S.S.R. agreed to open talks on Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (aka INFs). In this plan, the United States would cancel deployment of its new missiles in western Europe if the Soviets dismantled their INFs in eastern Europe.

Negotiations began on Nov 30th: the first meeting between the representatives took place in Geneva and was labelled by the media Euro SALT. SALT stood for Strategic Arms Limitation Talks.

I imagined creating a song on that night...
